These are idioms for beautiful challenges.
The challenges do not betray you. You will get great fruits.
- put ~ into practice [~을 실행하다, ~을 실행에 옮기다]
- put a plan into practice [계획을 실행에 옮기다]
- put ~ straight [(물건, 방 등을) 정돈하다]
- put the cart before the horse [본말을 전도하다]
- put ~ to the test [~을 시험하다]
- put up at ~ [~에 투숙하다, 숙박시키다]
- put up at an inn [여인숙에 묵다]
- put up with ~ [~을 참다=tolerate]
- put up with him [그를 봐주다(용서하다)]
- read between the lines [말(글) 속에 숨은 뜻을 알아내다]
- It is very difficult to read between the lines. [글 속에 숨은 뜻을 알아내기는 퍽 어렵다.]
- reckon with ~ [~을 고려에 넣다=take ~into account]
- reconcile oneself to ~ [~을 달게 받다, 단념하여 ~하다]
- rely on [upon] ~ [~에 의지(기대)하다]
- He had nothing to rely upon but himself. [그에게는 자기 자신밖에 의지할 것이 아무것도 없었다.]
- resign oneself to ~ [~에 몸을 맡기다, 단념하고 ~하다]
- He resigned himself to his fate. [그는 자신의 운명에 따랐다.]
- result from ~ [~결과로서 일어나다, ~에서 유래하다]
- The war resulted from the mistaken policy. [그 전쟁은 그릇된 정책의 결과로써 일어났다.]
- result in ~ [~으로 끝나다, 귀착하다]
- The enterprise resulted in failure. [사업은 실패로 끝났다.]
- rid A of B [A에서 B를 제거하다]
- He rid the garden of the wild grass. [그는 정원에서 잡초를 뽑았다.]
- right away [off] [즉시, 당장에=at once]
- ring off [전화를 끊다=hang up]
- ring up [~에게 전화를 걸다=call up]
- rob A of B [A에서 B를 훔치다]
- run a [the] risk of ~ [~의 위험을 무릅쓰다]
- I would not run such a risk. [나는 이러한 위험을 무릅쓰고 싶지 않다.]
- run low [결핍하다, 부족하다]
