• fall across ~ [~을 우연히 만나다=come across]

 

• fall behind [뒤지다=lag]
• He was tired and began to fall behind. [그는 지쳐서 뒤지기 시작했다.]

 

• fall [become, be taken] ill [병에 걸리다]
• He fell[got, became] ill. [그는 병에 걸렸다.]

 

• fall into disuse [쓰이지 않게 되다] ↔ come into use [쓰이게 되다.]

 

• fall to the ground [넘어(쓰러)지다], [(계획등이) 실패로 끝나다]

 

• far and wide [near] [도처에]
• He is known far and wide. [그는 도처에 알려져 있다.]

 

• feel one’s way [더듬어 나아가다=grope one’s way], [신중하게 하다]
• He felt his way in the dark. [그는 어둠 속을 더듬어 나아갔다.]

 

• fight it out [끝까지 싸우다]
