The 3rd Body of Original

Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many.

They will not be met easily or in a short span of time.

But know this, America — they will be met. On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord.

On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn-out dogmas, that for far too long have strangled our politics.

We remain a young nation, but in the words of Scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things.

The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit; to choose our better history; to carry forward that precious gift, that noble idea, passed on from generation to generation: the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free, and all deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness.

오늘 저는 여러분들에게 말씀드립니다.

우리가 처한 도전들은 현실이고, 심각할 뿐만 아니라, 또한 매우 많다는 것을 말입니다.

그 도전들은 쉽게 또는 짧은 기간에 해결되지는 않을 것이지만 이것만은 알아두십시오.

우리는 결국 해낼 것입니다.

오늘 우리는 두려움보다는 희망을 선택했고, 갈등과 불화보다는 목적을 위한 단결을 선택했기 때문에 여기 모였습니다.

오늘 우리는 우리의 정치를 오랫동안 옥죄어 왔던 사소한 불만들과 거짓 공약들, 상호 비방과 낡은 도그마들에 종식을 선언하기 위해 여기에 왔습니다.

미국은 여전히 젊은 나라지만 이제는 성경 말씀대로 유치함을 버릴 때가 왔습니다.

우리의 인내심을 다시 확인할 때가, 더 나은 역사를 선택할 때가, 세대를 지나면서 물려받은 소중한 선물인 고귀한 이상을 계속 앞으로 넘겨줄 때가 왔습니다.
